Guess who’s back? Back again?
Yup, it’s me and the project continues. For those that don’t remember, I am converting the amazing comic. Undead Ed by Boredman in to a motion comic.
This week, I was sick. But I was also productive. Turns out being stuck in bed with a bucket and a lap top is quite productive.
This week I was able to not only finish breaking down the first ten chapters of the original comic, but I also was able to complete the storyboards. For those who just arched an eyebrow, wondering why I would need a storyboard when the comic already exists, it’s simple.
I am not going to be keeping the motion comic restricted to the same wide static shots the comic is presented in. There will be camera movement, close ups, reaction shots, all that fun stuff. This will probably require some touch ups on the back grounds but I will cross that bridge when I get there.
I was also able to complete the initial voice acting. Thankfully Ed is not a man of needless exposition. This kept the recording session short which is a good thing since at the moment I am playing almost every character.
Like last week, I have a little sample for you to look at. In this case it’s the voice work for Ed’s doctor seen last week.
Next week, – Things start to move as I begin animating the comic! And please go check out More of Boredman’s work. You won’t regret it.
